WORLD CLASS CYCLOCROSS NATIONAL CHAMPION TIMOTHY JOHNSON TO HOSTS MEET AND GREET AT BIKE STATION APTOS SATURDAY JAN. 10

Timothy Johnson, 2009 cyclocross National Champion (Cannondale Factory Team), will host a meet-and-greet on January 9th from 4-5 pm at Bike Station Aptos, in Aptos CA.

This social event aims to bring the cycling community together to celebrate Timothy’s recent success at Nationals in Bend, Oregon, in addition to generating interest and educating cycling enthusiasts within the local community about cyclocross and what it is like to be a professional cyclist.

Timothy will be signing autographs, after his account of racing in the freezing and icy temperatures in Bend, in addition to fielding questions from the audience about his career, Cannondale, and his plans for the rest of the 2009/2010 season.

About Timothy Johnson
Timothy Johnson (born August 5, 1977 in Middleton, Massachusetts) is an American professional racing cyclist who has found success in cyclocross and road bike racing, and is first the United States rider to stand on a UCI Cyclocross World Championships podium. Johnson has six career national championships - three Elite, two Espoir and one Junior - and a bronze medal from the UCI Cyclocross World Championships that he won in 1999 in Poprad, Slovakia. Johnson spent his 2009 road season riding for the Ouch presented by Maxxis team, of which he is the Road Captain. For 2010, Johnson will ride on the road for UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team presented by Maxxis. Johnson is married to fellow professional cyclist Lyne Bessett.
